SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System has designated Monday, Oct. 8, as the make-up day for lost instructional time as a result of the impacts anticipated from Hurricane Florence.
The school system says this date is currently showing as a student and staff holiday on the 2018-2019 school year calendar and was marked as a designated make-up day if needed.
Oct. 8 will now be a regular school day. Students should report to school at their designated bell time. The official calendar modification will take place during the Oct. 3 board meeting.
