2 prison guards accused of attempting to provide contraband at Ridgeland Correctional Institution

RIDGELAND, SC (WTOC) - Two correctional officers are accused of trying to give drugs to inmates at the Ridgeland Correctional Institution.

According to the State Department of Corrections police services arrest warrant, Shavonia Glaze and Amanda Wells were arrested on Wednesday.

Glaze is charged with possession of cocaine and furnishing or attempting to furnish contraband to a prisoner.

Wells is charged with misconduct in office, furnishing or attempting to furnish contraband to a prisoner, drugs and manufacturing possession of other substance and criminal conspiracy.
