Warm, Mostly Dry Thursday

The forecast remains great, albeit warm, for outdoor activities through the end of the work-week.

Thursday begins with temperatures in the upper 60s and 70s; warmest along the coastline. The air is just a bit drier than the same time yesterday.

Temps warm quickly through the morning; in the mid to upper 80s by noon. Temps peak in the upper 80s, to near 90°, at the beaches this afternoon. Away from the water? Plan for lower 90s. Yes. It’ll be another hot afternoon.

Sunshine is plentiful today. An isolated thunderstorm, or two, may develop this afternoon. The greatest chance of that occurring is south of the Altamaha River; still just an isolated shot at rain.

The forecast remains great for plans through most of the weekend. Slightly cooler, drier air works its way in through Saturday. No. Not quite fall-like, but better than it has been.
