Tornado Watch expired early for our Lowcountry counties

UPDATE: As of 3:30 a.m. Thursday, the tornado watch has expired for the entire WTOC viewing area, including our three Lowcountry counties: Jasper, Hampton, and Beaufort.

UPDATE: As of 2 a.m. Thursday, the tornado watch has been canceled for all Georgia counties in the Coastal Empire.

A Tornado Watch has been issued for our Lowcountry counties - Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton - until 7 a.m. Thursday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, South Carolina, the local threats include tornadoes; isolated, marble-sized hail; and isolated wind gusts up to 70 mph.
