Winter has settled back into the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry!
Temperatures are in the low to mid-30s this morning in many communities. A few spots may briefly dip below 30° before 8 a.m.; a light breeze making it feel like it’s in the upper 20s, to around 30°, through the morning commute.
Areas of frost are likely. Plan an extra few minutes into your morning routine. You may have to scrape some frost.
Under plenty of sunshine, temperatures re-bound to near 50° by noon. It’ll be a chilly lunch-hour, for sure. Keep a jacket around. Temps peak in the low to mid-50s between 1:30 and 3 p.m.
Thursday date night plans? Grab a winter coat. Temperatures dip into the 40s at sunset and upper 30s by 10 or 11 p.m. We’ll wake up to upper 20s and lower 30s Friday morning.
Temperatures, gradually, warm back above normal as a storm system approaches. Clouds increase Saturday, but the day is forecast to remain mostly dry. Scattered showers impact our region Saturday night through Sunday morning.
Colder air filters back in behind the weekend chance of rain. The team will keep you updated in the WTOC Weather App.
Have a wonderful day,
