SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah Fire Department has extinguished a fire at a home believed to have originated in a live Christmas tree.
The department tweeted at 4:24 a.m. that it was responding to a house fire on East Henry Street in Savannah. The department says they were dispatched at about 4:10 a.m. and Engine 8 arrived on scene with two minutes.
In an official news release, the fire department says the fire was concentrated around the tree and in the living room.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries have been reported.
Power was cut to the home and the resident has been displaced.
