TOOMBS COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - Five people have been arrested and charged in connection to recent thefts in Toombs County.
The Toombs County Sheriff’s office conducted an extensive investigation that consisted of numerous burglaries and entering-auto cases over the past several months. Throughout the investigation, officials recovered multiple firearms, hunting equipment, an ATV, various electronics, marijuana, and cocaine.
The investigation led to the arrests of 18-year-old Bryce McKinley Clements of Lyons, 19-year-old Landon Bobby Oliver of Vidalia, 21-year-old Dewey Ottis Altman of Vidalia, 21-year-old Anthony Markaza Mincey, Jr. of Vidalia, and 36-year-old Ashley Wade Barron of Vidalia.
Charges include seven counts of burglary, five counts of entering an auto, 17 counts of theft by receiving stolen property, three counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and three counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
