Get Ready - Freezing Friday Morning!

Dress for freezing temperatures before leaving the house this morning. Many communities are reaching lows between 28° and 32° this morning; coldest temps occurring between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m.

Under sunshine, it warms into the mid and upper 40s by mid-morning. It’ll be around 50° at noon. High temps peak in the low to mid-50s along and north of the Altamaha River; upper 50s further south.

Today is going to be chilly, but gorgeous with a relatively light breeze. Do you have evening plans? It’ll get cold, quickly, after sunset. Bring a coat with you.

Clouds roll in Friday evening. By Saturday morning, the sky will be mostly covered. Mostly cloudy, to cloudy, conditions continue through the day. Despite the gloomy look, the chance of rain remains minimal through early Saturday evening.

Scattered showers are forecast to move through the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry overnight, into Sunday morning. This is not going to be a big rain event, nor is it going to ruin all your weekend plans. Just be aware of passing showers Saturday night into Sunday morning; especially north of I-16.

Colder, drier weather builds back in early next work-week.

Have a wonderful day and keep a casual eye on radar, in the WTOC Weather App this weekend,
