SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The National Football League has officially announced who will take center stage at the Pepsi Super Bowl LIII Halftime Show this year in Atlanta.

Three-time Grammy Award-winning band, Maroon 5 will headline, but a featured guest performer will catch the eye of the Coastal Empire.

Big Boi, one half of hip-hop supergroup Outkast, will join Maroon 5 on stage.

Antwan “Big Boi” Patton was born in Savannah, GA in 1975 and grew up in the Cloverdale area of the city before moving to Atlanta, meeting Andre 3000 and creating one of hip-hops most iconic groups.

In Outkast’s third studio album, “Aquemini”, the duo released a song titled “West Savannah.”

Super Bowl LIII is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 3. You can see the game and halftime show only on WTOC.
