Widespread frost has returned to the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry!
Temperatures are in the low to mid-30s in most communities this morning. Cold conditions linger through the morning commute; coldest between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. Plan an extra few minutes into your morning routine if you parked outside overnight – you’ll have to get rid of some frost.
A mostly clear morning sky is forecast to become partly cloudy by this afternoon. High temperatures peak in the low to mid-60s; a great day overall.
Clouds thicken this evening and overnight. Sprinkles, or an isolated shower, cannot be ruled out tonight through Friday under a mostly cloudy sky.
Big changes arrive Saturday evening as a cold front approaches. The chance of rain increases through the evening and overnight. The chance of rain peaks between midnight and 4 a.m. Sunday. A couple weak thunderstorms are possible.
Much colder, windy weather filters in through the day, Sunday.
Gardeners – prepare your sensitive vegetation for a freeze, or two, early next week.
Have a wonderful day,
