BULLOCH COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - Senior adults in Bulloch County will soon be getting a new home away from home.
County leaders broke ground Friday morning on a new senior citizens center off Granade Street. The county secured a grant for $750,000 of the cost. Bulloch County will cover the additional $300,000.
The center will double in size so they can serve larger groups at one time and give seniors a place to gather.
“From this area, they can go to the doctor and go to the pharmacy. They’ve lived their lives and paid their dues, and it’s time for them to enjoy and for us to pay it back,” said Cindy Steinmann, Bulloch County.
There is no timetable for when it will open.
