LIBERTY COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - The Liberty County community honored the memory of a high school student Tuesday night who was killed in a wreck early Saturday morning.
Students and friends honored Albert Spud Dock during the first basketball game since his death. The team brought out a chair dressed in Dock’s #2 uniform. During halftime, they presented his family with a basketball in a glass case and poster, both signed by the team.
“With this being the first basketball game without Spud, it’s really hard on us because we are used to seeing him shoot his 3′s all the time,” said Hayden Roudebush, Sophomore.
“I know it broke the boys out there because he was a major part of the team, but it affected everyone," said Emma Kirk, Sophomore.
Two other teens were injured in the wreck, and are both suffering serious injuries.
