SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce held its 2019 Economic Outlook Luncheon Monday at the Westin Savanah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa.
It’s all in partnership with Georgia Southern and the University of Georgia.
The Chamber got the chance to talk to business and forecast where they anticipated the economy to go for this year. That way, large and smaller businesses can be prepared for what’s ahead.
The CEO of the Savannah Area Chamber gave the key message for the event.
“We’re in a great place, and some of the things that we face as an uncertainty is we can’t handle at a local level, so you need to engage nationally but you need to approach 2019 with a good attitude; a real good confidence that the economy is doing well, but yet always protect yourselves if something surprising and uncertain happens,” said CEO Bill Hubbard.
Over 700 businesses attended the event.
