SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - If you love a good DIY project, or want to learn more about Georgia’s rich history, there’s plenty to do this weekend.
The biggest event in town this weekend for the whole family is Super Museum Sunday. We’re still a few days out, but you’ll need to figure out a plan of attack to enjoy all of the incredible historical sites in Savannah and beyond.
“This week is Super Museum Sunday, and we have 106 participating sites all across Georgia. More than 40 in Chatham County and more if you take into account all the sites available throughout the Lowcountry that people can get out and see this weekend free of charge. We really hope people will use this as an opportunity to get out. The weather’s supposed to be beautiful. Get out and experience the history in your own background! This is free and fun for the whole family," said Pattye Meagher of the Georgia Historical Society.
Before you enjoy Super Museum Sunday, come see the WTOC Team at the 2019 Lowcountry Home and Garden Show! If you’ve ever wanted to tackle a DIY project this is the place to be. Exhibits, seminars, workshops, cooking demos and much more will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.
On Saturday night, join the Savannah Philharmonic for a “Musician’s Choice concert” at the Lucas Theatre. The musicians themselves handpicked the selection for this weekend and even have two special guest performers. Tickets are still available.
