SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -Do-it-yourself project lovers will be in heaven this weekend at the Savannah Convention Center.
The Annual Home and Garden show can spark indoor and outdoor ideas to spruce your space for spring.
From hot tubs to handcrafted goods, if you're looking for an addition to your home or yard, you'll find it at the 19th annual Low Country Home and Garden Show.
Iris Jenkis brought her cousin to help her tackle a project she’s wanted to do for years.
“I’m looking for some landscaping for my back yard," Jenkins said. This is her first year at the show. "I’ve been talking about it for years, and I thought the would be an excellent place for me to start with my backyard.”
Whether you're trying to furinish an indoor space or add to an outdoor space like Jenkins, dozens of vendors have items big and small to make your space new.
“I want everything in here," Jenkins said. "I want everything. I’ve seen a pool cage. I’ve seen landscape. I can’t tell you everything, closets. I’ve seen everything. This is my first time at the home and garden show, and it won’t be my last. I’m coming back.”
If you’re happy with what’s inside your kitchen already but need some tips to step up your menu, the WTOC Local Flavors Cooking stage will help you whip up new dishes from area chefs.
Jenkins' advice for newcomers? Bring someone with you to keep you from walking out with everything...including the kitchen sink.
“She tries to keep me grounded, so I don’t buy everything. But I definitely will be back. It’s a wonderful show.”
