HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) - Bradwell Institute has their new head football coach.

The Tigers have tasked Kyle Adkins with leading the football program in 2019. The veteran head coach comes to Hinesville after a three-year stint as the head coach at Campbell High School. He has a 23-49 career record in eight seasons as a head coach.

“I look forward to the opportunity of continuing to build the Bradwell Institute football program to one of statewide prominence. There is a good foundation of community, administrative and board support to be successful in all Bradwell Institute athletic activities, not just football," Adkins said through a statement released by the school. “I want the football program to reflect the high quality academic success the school is already so proud of.”

Adkins was approved by the Liberty County School Board last week and met with his new team Thursday morning.

During his stint at Campbell, he led the Spartans to a 5-6 record and a state playoff berth in 2017. It was the program’s best season since 2006.

Adkins will take over for Ross Couch, who resigned in December after two seasons leading Bradwell.
