BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - The City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal Fire Department received a call for help that firefighters say was unlike any other call they have responded to.
Firefighters say last Friday, they received information that a six-year-old boy only had one friend show up to his birthday party. They say Cooper has autism, so making friends can be difficult at times, but he is a very energetic Kindergartner who loves having a good time.
Firefighters helped make sure Cooper had another birthday party with a lot more than one friend there. He was picked up by a firetruck after school and taken to his party with his mom and brother. There were firefighters, firetrucks, bikers, friends, cake, and presents there waiting to greet him.
The City of Beaufort/Town of Port Royal thanks Cooper for letting them be a part of his special day.
