SPRINGFIELD, GA (WTOC) - Craig Heidt, the suspect charged with killing his father and brother in Effingham County, is not going to get out of jail anytime soon.
A judge arraigned Craig Heidt at the Effingham County jail on Monday. Since he is charged with murder, bond was denied. Only a superior court judge can set a bond.
Investigators said Heidt murdered his father Phillip Heidt and his youngest brother Carey last summer in their home on Springfield-Egypt Road. Police say he also shot and wounded his mother Linda. See Suspect arrested, charged with Heidt murders.
The case against Craig Heidt will now go to a grand jury.
