CHATHAM COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - A sea of red lights and chaos on Interstate 95 as two separate accidents tie up traffic for hours.

Both accidents happened in the southbound lanes near mile markers 93 and 95 within minutes of each other.

The Southside Fire Department tells WTOC the first accident happened just before the Bryan County line.

A red Ford F-150 was traveling south when it hit the side guard rail and rolled at least once, landing upside down.

Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free a trapped husband and wife.

Both were taken to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment, but no word yet their condition.

The second accident, between a car and truck, happened minutes after the first. The conditions of those involved aren't yet known.

The two wrecks backed up traffic for miles.
