GARDEN CITY, GA (WTOC) - Police are investigating two cases, a murder and a lost child and as it turns out, the two are linked.
The little boy was found just before sunset Thursday walking along Highway 80 in Garden City. Police found his mother at the Savannah-Chatham police headquarters. She recognized her son but she was there about another case.

Around 3:30pm Thursday, someone found a body off an isolated dirt road on Hutchinson Island. Savannah-Chatham police sealed off the area and wouldn't let anyone anywhere near the crime scene.
They weren't releasing much information, but we did know a man was killed. Police wouldn't say how he died or who he was. They only said they were treating it like a homicide.
Garden City police tell us the child they found is the son of the homicide victim.
