SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The suspect accused of stalking Miley Cyrus is still behind bars as authorities continue to search his Appling, Georgia home.

Police say 53-year-old Mark McLeod was arrested for the second time earlier this week. Police say both arrests stem from his obsession with the 16-year-old Hannah Montana star.

McLeod is now banned from Tybee Island where Cyrus is filming The Last Song and a temporary restraining order has been issued.

WTOC has a copy of the restaining order, which says McLeod knowingly committed repeated acts of stalking against Miley Cyrus, her family and coworkers.

We caught up with singer Tiffany, who knows all about stalkers from her teenage years as a pop star. She said being a celebrity can be a crazy thing.

"I love Miley, nobody really knows, but now you know," McLeod told the New York Daily News back in March oustide a Miley Cyrus book signing.

McCleod is in Savannah now, in jail, after being arrested for the second time and charged with criminally stalking Cyrus.

"I think it's just something that comes with being a celebrity," Tiffany told WTOC.

The former teen pop star knows all about growing up in the spotlight of fame. She's in Savannah as the headliner for this weekend's Savannah Gay Pride festival.

"You can never be prepared for fame," she said. "It's funny. I live in Nashville. Miley lives there. Miley Cyrus is everywhere. It is strange it reminds me of when I started."

Tiffany hit it big in the late 80s. "It's a crazy business. At any age it's crazy," she said.

But unlike Miley, who authorities say has been mostly shielded from the news of her accused stalker, Tiffany says she was well aware of someone stalking her.

"I knew unfortunately," said Tiffany. "I had to take precautions, hire a bodyguard. I was 16. That was my first time knowing you can't walk out the door. Freedom is taken away a little bit."

"I talk to her alot. But I write and she responds with pictures," McLeod says in the Daily News tape.

"People get crazy thoughts," Tiffany said.

Tiffany hasn't met Miley yet, but she can speak from experience on how to handle the pitfalls of fame.

"You just have to live your life and as a celebrity it just comes with the territory," she explained.

"I'm going to ask Miley to marry me," McLeod said in the NY Daily News video.

Tiffany tells us she thinks it seems Cyrus has a good head on her shoulders and a good family and support system, so she should be ok.

Meanwhile, McLeod is still in jail and bond set at $50,000. There is no information on what evidence was found in the search of McLeod's home.
