SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Witnesses say one man threw another man through the back window of a mini-van at the First Student bus depot in Savannah on Interchange Court.

Several police officers responded to try and sort out what happened. Bus drivers stood by in disbelief.

According to Michelle Stegner, the Bus Driver Union representative for Teamsters Local 728, it all started when one of the drivers spotted mold inside one of the buses.

"It's very hazardous for us to be cleaning these buses," said Stegner. "We came up here to the company to tell them they needed to clean the mold off the bus because we are supposed to do our dry run today."

When they went to complain, things turned ugly. Savannah-Chatham Metro Police confirm that the husband of a First Student employee got into a fight with one of Bus Drivers.

"Her husband came out here picked up our bus agent and threw him through a window," Stegner said.

Paramedics arrived but police say that bus agent refused treatment.

WTOC tried to contact First Student manager Randy Samples several times, but he did not return any calls and was not at the First Student Office that afternoon.

Police say they still aren't sure who, if anyone, was arrested concerning this issue.

The first day of school for Savannah-Chatham Public Schools is Tuesday September 1.
