SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Avon and Companion Animal Aid teamed up to deliver Bentley Bears to the Backus Children's Hospital Thursday and presented them to the young patients.
The community donated 118 bears. Herbie the Volkswagen dropped them off at the hospital.
"I hope they're excited because I know coming to the hospital day after day can be very, very treacherous," said avon representative Laura Sharp. "And they don't know what to expect and they're going through all kinds of sounds and different procedures and to get something to snuggle, that would have to make my day better."
"It's a teddy bear!" exclaimed one child.
The companies worked together throughout last month asking people to put bears for the children and also to make cash donations to companion animal aid a rescue organization.
