YEMASSEE, SC (WTOC) - Serving up a good time!
The Yemassee Shrimp Fesitval kicked off Thursday evening. Vendors were busy frying up hundreds of pounds of home caught shrimp for the hungry visitors. Folks were already filling up their stomachs for the weekend full of events like the Friday night street dance and Saturday's shrimp festival parade. The best part is everyone's invited!
"It's a good time. It's a family event, and there's a lot of good food, and some good seafood hopefully," said Craig Reaves.
The festival continues through Sunday, capping off with a mud run at 1:00pm. You can take part in all the events going on by taking I-95 north to South Carolina and getting off on exit 38. Just follow your nose for fried shrimp and fun.
