EFFINGHAM COUNTY, GA (WTOC) - Candidate Jesse Tyler has qualified to enter the race of the 159th district House seat.
Tyler is from Effingham County and is looking to be elected to the seat that was left open by rep. Buddy Carter.
Tyler, a Republican, is entering the 159th district race after stepping down as the south Georgia campaign director for gubernatorial candidate John Oxendine.
