BLOOMINGDALE, GA (WTOC) - Several brush fires near Bloomingdale kept four different fire companies busy this afternoon.
A man saw a fire near the Hardin Canal and called for help. When crews arrived, they found two separate fires about one acre large a piece, but upon further investigation they discovered three more fires, one burning almost ten acres.
Bloomingdale, Port Wentworth, Pooler, and Georgia Forestry crews worked together putting out the flames and making sure the winds didn't push the fires towards any homes. It took three thousand gallons of water to put out the fires that spanned a four mile radius.
Investigators are calling these fires suspicious.
