Early dismissal, closings for area schools

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Bad weather expected this afternoon is forcing many schools to let students out early.

See below for a list of current school closings:

Ogeechee Tech

All classes are cancelled for this evening

South University

Closing at 4pm

University of South Carolina in Beaufort

As of 5pm, all classes and activities have been cancelled

Georgia Southern University

Cancels evening classes and events

Coastal Georgia Center

All evening classes canceled

Armstrong Atlantic State University

All classes from 1pm through the rest of the evening have been canceled
The cancellation includes all campuses, Savannah, the Liberty Center in Hinesville and the Brunswick campus

University of Phoenix

As of 3pm, all classes are canceled

Savannah School of Massage

Classes are canceled

Savannah State University

All classes from 1pm through the rest of the evening have been canceled

Savannah Technical College

At 3pm, all campuses will close and classes are canceled

Savannah-Chatham public schools

All middle and high schools closing at noon
All elementary schools closing at 1pm

Bible Baptist

Closing at 1pm

Memorial Day School

Closing at noon

St. Peter the Apostle on Wilmington Island

Closing at 2pm

Calvary Day School

Closing at 1pm
High School students who drive must have parent permission for them to be released. Please call the school office at 912.644.5080 to give this permission

Benedictine

Students have already been dismissed
Parents can pick up students until 1pm

Hancock Day School

Normal dismissal at 3pm
After school programs canceled

EOA Head Start

Closing at 1pm

Providence Christian

Closing at 1pm

Katie's Corner Daycare

Closing at 12:30

Savannah Country Day

Closing at 1:30pm

St. Vincent's School

Closing at 2pm

Chatham Academy

Closing at 12:30

Savannah Christian Preparatory School

Lower and Middle school is dismissing at their regular time
Upper school will let out 30 minutes early
Parents can pick up their children whenever they like

Liberty County

All after school activities canceled

YMCA of Chatham County

All after school programs including "Fun Club" and "Prime Time" are canceled
Parents should pick up their children no later than 3pm

Richmond Hill Middle/High Schools

Closing at 1:40pm

Richmond Hill Pal's Daycare

Closing at 3pm

The Learning Treehouse, The Learning Treehouse Too

Closing at 3pm

The P-5 schools in Richmond Hill

Closing at 2:45pm

North Bryan Schools

Closing 1:40pm

All Walks of Life, Inc. - St. Pious Family Resource Center After School Program

Canceled

Bryan Co. Community Education After-School Program

Will be held for those students who attend that program

Beaufort High School

Wednesday night concert postponed until Thursday
