SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Folks were having some old fashion fun in historic downtown Savannah Friday night at the seventh annual Wright Square holiday open house.
Families enjoyed treats and shopping at each of the numerous shops around the square. There was even a Christmas cake contest judged by Lady and Son's own Bobby Dean. Shop owners say it's nice to have everybody downtown for the season.
"It gets everybody in the spirit. A little bit of rain hasn't hurt us yet, so hopefully it won't, but it gets everyone use to coming downtown. Downtown is a great place," said Gary Hill.
And of course, what's a Christmas celebration without jolly old Saint Nick making an appearance?
