SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - A very familiar face, Arthur Gignilliat, was in the spotlight Friday night.
Georgia Power and the Savannah Technical College Foundation hosted an awards gala in his honor. They gave the former CEO of Savannah Electric their "Opportunity Award" for all his contributions in our community over many years.
"I appreciate the foundation's board of trustees for awarding me this very prestigous honor. Thank you for considering someone who's sometimes considered the oldest rat in the barn," said Gignilliat.
WTOCs own Sonny Dixon served as the master of ceremonies.
