WALTERBORO, SC (WTOC) - Solicitor Duffy Stone is stepping up the investigation into a series of shootings in Walterboro last month that left three people dead and nine others wounded.
Stone sent a letter to South Carolina attorney general Henry McMaster asking for a state grand jury to investigate recent gang violence in Colleton County.
He said that the county grand jury has limited investigative abilities and that a grand jury can help accomplish more.
