BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - Brad Clayton's heart may be on the golf course, but his game isn't the same. It probably won't be for some time, now that someone has run off with his arm.

"I don't know if there's another one like it in the world," said Clayton about his prosthetic arm. "There are others, but this one took us six years to develop."

Ten years ago Clayton lost his arm in a construction accident, but he didn't let that stop him from doing what he loves. "I don't have very much power, but I can still play fairly well. I do clinics, tricks shots, and what have you -- demonstrating you can overcome adversity," he said.

He works with Wounded Warriors and the Special Olympics, but now showing off his tricks may not be possible.

Thursday night someone stole Clayton's car, which had many of his belongings in it, including a book he was writing. His car was found, but the thieves took everything in it. Clayton said they can keep the valuable things. He just wants his personal belongings back. "Just please give me my info and my arm," Clayton said.

He just wants go back to doing what he loves most, playing golf and being an inspiration for others. "I am nothing special. I just know I have a knack for looking at things in a good way, and whatever it is, it is. Deal with it and move forward," Clayton said.
