SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - After a six day investigation involving two city police departments, police have identified three suspects and charged one suspect for the robbery of the Circle K on White Bluff Road and the shooting of the clerk.

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police arrested 18-year-old Delancier Larquis Black on Tuesday and charged him with armed robbery and aggravated assault. Twenty-year-old Christopher Williams was arrested Tuesday night and 20-year-old Willie Kurtz was arrested on Thursday night. On Friday, 21-year-old Emmett Jackson Brown was arested. Black attends college in Savannah.

All four are from Hazlehurst, GA.

SCMPD Detective Jeron Young said his investigation revealed that two of the suspects went into the Circle K convenience store around 6 a.m. One was wearing cloth over his face and head and showed a rifle to the clerk and demanded money from the cash register and safe. The clerk told the suspects she was not able to open the safe. The rifle went off and a bullet ricocheted off the safe and piece struck the clerk.

The clerk was taken to Memorial University Medical Center where she was treated and released.

After the rifle went off, the two suspects fled the scene and fired more shots as they ran off.

Officers in route to the scene received reports about shots fired as they were responding to the robbery. One of the officers reported a white car, similar to police cars with large chrome wheels, leaving the area. A patrol unit in the Islands Precinct stopped a car matching that description. At the time, a woman was driving the car, but the vehicle was registered to Black who had already been identified during the robbery.

SCMPD credits the Circle K employees who provided security photos of the robbery and the Hazlehurst Police Department who helped with the investigation and other events in Hazlehurst.
