HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) - Hinesville police continue to investigate a crash that killed a man on Tuesday night.

Hinesville police Sgt. Max McLendon said that Bryan Roman, 19, was driving a 2001 Toyota Sequoia and was hit as he pulled away from a stop sign.

He said Cordarrel Ross, 23, a Fort Stewart soldier, was driving a 2001 Ford Mustang at a high rate of speed when he collied with Roman's SUV. His car slammed into a gas station at the corner of U.S Highway 84 and Ralph Quarterman Drive.

Police said they believe there are contributing factors to the crash and that alcohol was related. He said they do not believe Roman was at fault. Charges are pending.
