STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) - Members of the Statesboro Service League have spent weeks getting ready for their annual attic sale on Saturday. They'll pack the Kiwanis expo building with a little bit of everything, from electronics to sporting goods to holiday items and everything in between. The league helps a host of charities around Statesboro from foster programs to the domestic violence shelter to the Averitt Arts Center.

"This is our only fundraiser for the year but we use it to help differnt things in the community through the entire year and all the proceeds go back in to the community, explained sale co-chair Amy Taulbee.

There is a $2 admission charge and the league will be selling concessions. The Kiwanis fairgrounds are located on Highway 67 south of Statesboro. The doors open at 7 a.m., but league members say many of their veteran shoppers line up hours before that.

"We have our regulars and some of them camp out I think because they're there when we get there to get ready," said sale chairwoman Karen Franklin.
