Jaime Dailey: Lowcountry Reporter

Jaime Dailey joined the News Team in April 2002. As the Lowcountry reporter, Jaime covers news stories from throughout the Lowcountry, including Beaufort County, Jasper County, and Hampton County. She’s originally from a small town in Indiana called Decatur, where most of her family still lives.

Jaime graduated from Indiana University in 1999 with a degree in broadcast journalism and political Science. After college, she got her first reporting job in Maryland, and has been hooked ever since. She enjoys reporting stories that make a difference in the lives of our community, from the local war heroes to outstanding citizens. Jaime says her favorite part of the job was seeing the men and women from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort and Naval Hospital Beaufort receive a warm homecoming after returning from the Middle East as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Jaime married her high school sweetheart, Jose, back in June 2001. She and her husband now serve as youth counselors for their church’s youth group in Beaufort, a position she really enjoys. In her spare time, Jaime enjoys going to the beach, running, playing tennis, and talking with friends and family. Jaime says that now that she’s moved close to the beach, she receives lots of visitors from Indiana…and she loves taking them to all the hot spots in the area.
