SCREVEN CO., GA (WTOC) - Boy Scouts of Troop 16 have two more award ribbons to pin on their guidon.

The group attended the Tidelands District Camporee last weekend and won first place for the Dinner Award and second place in the Orienteering competition.

The group won the Culinary Award for their bacon-wrapped quail and an alligator tail stew. The effort was supervised by Adult Leader Allen Hutcheson. The Camp Staff served as the judges for the award.

Adult Leader Don Hollinger help the scouts with the orienteering exercises, which involves using compasses and maps to determine one's location and to navigate when traveling.

The Camporee took place Black Creek Scout Reservation in Screven County.
