Christy Hutchings: Reporter

Christy joined the WTOC News team in March of 2006. Before arriving in Savannah, she worked in Grand Junction, Colorado, for two years as a reporter for KKCO, but even though she worked out West her roots have always been in the South. She was born and raised in Peachtree City, Georgia, and received her bachelors degree in telecommunications and film from the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!

During her time in school, she worked as a reporter for WVUA 7 News in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and also interned at the Bear 92.5 FM in Griffin, Georgia.

In her spare time, Christy loves talking to her sisters on the phone, shopping, traveling, and watching NASCAR.

She comes to Savannah with her adorable dog Tex. Christy is thrilled to be living back in the South again!
