Young fair maidens watch the excitement.The Oatland Island Education Center is letting you take a trip back to the Middle Ages, without even leaving Savannah. Children got to fire miniature catapaults at doll-house sized castles. Braver kids took a chance firing a larger, wooden version across the lawn. Re-enactors with the Society for Creative Anachronism demonstrated sword fighting for the crowds. This was the Oatland Island Education Center's third annual Medieval Festival. The money raised supports The Friends of Oatland Group.
