Ever think about running a marathon? How about running two marathons every day for six months? That's exactly what Reza Baluchi is doing.
Baluchi passed through Savannah Monday on his 10,600 mile journey across the US. He is running almost 55 miles a day in an effort to set a world record for the fastest cross country run.
But its not all about the record. Baluchi is raising money for The Children's Hospital at the same time. "I know i'm doing something to help give life to a kid," says Baluchi. "Kids with heart problems, they have other things. I am running for these people. i have a nice body, they don't so I am running for these people."
Baluchi is running around the entire perimeter of the US. The current world record is 9 months, but he hopes to finish in 6. He's relying entirely on donations to keep going.
If you would like to help his cause, send him an encouraging note, or give some supplies for the trip, he'll be in Richmond Hill Monday night and Brunswick Tuesday night.
