STATESBORO, GA--Two suspects have been arrested after an attempted bank robbery this morning.

It happened around 11am at the Park Avenue Bank on Northside Drive in Statesboro. The two suspects walked into the bank, pulled a gun and demanded money. They got away with a undisclosed amount of cash but not before a witness was able to get a detailed description of the suspects' vehicle.

Withing five minutes, a police officer across town heard the description of the vehicle and saw one matching it drive by. He pursued and pulled the driver over in a parking lot of an apartment complex. Inside the car were the two suspects and the money that was stolen from the bank.

The two men were arrested and police recovered the money. Statesboro police and the FBI are working on the case.
