Police brought in K-9s to help the search.WAYNE COUNTY, GA (WTOC) -- Investigators have expanded the search for a missing couple from Hilton Head Island. According to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, the investigation has shifted from South Carolina to Georgia. Investigators are now searching for John and Elizabeth Calvert in a landfill in Wayne County, six miles outside the city of Screven. On Saturday, they brought in K-9s to the Broadhurst Landfill. There's no word yet if they've found anything.
The Calverts were last seen on March 3rd near Harbour Town. John Calvert is the operations owner of the marina at Harbour Town. Elizabeth Calvert is an attorney for the Hunter MacLean Law Firm in Savannah.
