They produced pictures of the alleged Bigfoot body.SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - It's been an urban legend for decades, but now two Georgia men claim they've found the body of Bigfoot.
Today, Matt Whitton and Rick Dyer, the two men from Jonesboro, Georgia who say they found the body, held a news conference in California.
They produced pictures of the alleged Bigfoot and tried to answer some questions from a seemingly skeptical audience.
But after listening to the news conference, there now seems to be more questions than answers. Some people suspect this is a big hoax, but Whitton and Dyer claim it's the real deal.
Whitton and Dyer claim they stumbled on the remains of a big foot deep in the woods of north Georgia while hiking. The duo say they dragged the alleged Sasquatch from the woods to a pick up truck and placed it in an old refrigerator.
They also say they have pictures of three other Bigfoot creatures which were near them when they made their discovery plus a close up of the mouth, teeth and tongue of the dead Bigfoot to show it's not just a Halloween costume.
They claim to have submitted DNA for testing and recruited Bigfoot hunter Tom Biscardi to help them prove their Bigfoot is the real thing.
"It was luck, we got him and no one else can say they did that," said Whitton.
"It's not a human, it's not an ape, it's definitely something we haven't seen before," said Biscardi.
The discovery allegedly took place in early June and the two waited until recently to make the big announcement about finding Bigfoot.
Now, they want to go back out and catch a live Bigfoot with Biscardi but they won't say where in north Georgia this happened or where the Bigfoot body is now.
As expected, a lot of people are very skeptical. An autopsy on the Bigfoot body is apparently scheduled for Monday.
