    Hurricanes are a part of life along the South Carolina coast, and the Department of Public Safety wants to make sure it's prepared for whatever happens. That includes the possibility of reversing lanes on Lowcountry highways so everyone can evacuate quicker. Thursday, the SCDPS will conduct an exercise to test lane reversal plans but stressed that no traffic lanes will actually be reversed during the drill.
