SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - About half of the second graders from Savannah-Chatham County public schools cheered on their schools' contestants in the 17th annual Quick Think-A-Thon.
It's a tournament based on a board game that teaches personal safety, from stranger danger to fire safety and much more.
"They need to learn it at the youngest age possible and second graders just have a mind like a sponge they can pull it in and absorb it," said Exchange Club president Jim Welch.
First place went to Jaylynn Williams from Garrison Elementary School. The Savannah Exchange Club hosts this every year.
