BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - A Lady's Island community group is organizing a charity event this weekend that will really showcase Beaufort's talent.
Kids of all ages are showing off their skills, singing and dancing Friday getting ready for Saturday's talent show.
The best part is, it's all for a good cause. The money raised at the event will benefit CODA, Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse. Organizer Jeanette Smith started the event as a way to bring the community together in a fun way.
"I just wanted to do something for the community, something that everyone can enjoy, also to do something for those who are less fortunate than us," said Smith.
They will have 25 acts during the talent show and there will be a special performance by local recording artist, Metaphore King.
The talent show will take place Saturday, June 20 beginning at 6pm at Port Royal Elementary School.
Smith says she's organizing another talent show next month.
