BRUNSWICK, GA (WTOC) -  Glynn County Police arrested Guy Heinze, Jr. for eight counts of murder in the first degree.  Heinze had posted bond earlier in the day.

Glynn County Police chief Matt Doering tells WTOC that after Heinze, Jr. got out of jail two pieces of evidence were brought to his attention.  He went to a judge, got an arrest warrant and put Heinze, Jr. back in jail charged with the murder of his family.

Doering is not commenting about the evidence that led to the warrants at this time.  When asked if he was confident Heinze, Jr.'s involvement Doering said, "No doubt in my mind." Doering told WTOC anyone who thinks Heinze couldn't have committed these crimes would change their minds if they saw they evidence they have.

Heinze was initially arrested on Saturday, August 29 after finding his family killed in their mobile home near Brunswick. See Police hold 911 caller in Brunswick slayings and Police: "This is a very difficult investigation".

He was charged with tampering with evidence, making false statements to police and drug charges. Heinze removed a shot gun from the murder scene, and hid it in a trunk of a car, claiming it was stolen. He was granted bond on Wednesday, September 2. See Family member of murder victims granted bond.

Earlier this week, Heinze's attorney said his client had nothing to do with the murders, and Heinze wanted to reunite with his remaining family and attend the funerals on Saturday.

Tonight, he is in a jail cell, accused of killing his father, uncle, four cousins, and two others. A   three year-old boy remains in critical condition at Memorial Health as a result of the attack.
