PEMBROKE, GA (WTOC) - Dozens turned out for a vigil in Pembroke still looking for answers in the disappearance of 83 year old Emma Carroll.

The elderly woman disappeared from her home three months ago.

Every pew was full at Emma Carroll's church Saturday night. Every one except the one she use to sit in. Instead now there's a yellow ribbon, making it clear Carroll won't be forgotten.

"Tonight we're waiting, and we're watching, we're waiting for mother Emma Carrol," said Carroll's daughter Ruby Williams.

Williams, along with her brothers and sisters, Carroll's grandchildren and her friends all came together to remind everyone not to give up hope. Eighty-three year old Emma Carroll, who suffers from dementia, wandered away from her Pembroke home back in July. No one has seen or heard from her since. Some feel she's probably dead, but her family does not.

Following the church service everyone headed outside. One by one they lit their candles until all you could see was a glow of light outside the church.

Carroll's grandson Gary Mobley says he wasn't sure about coming tonight. He didn't want to feel like this was a memorial service. But he says after seeing the turnout and listening to what folks had to say, he's glad he's here.

"This has really been a blessing. I am rejuvinated with hope now. My faith was dwindling and I'm back to where I need to be," said Gary Mobley.

Hopefully Carroll will be back where she needs to be too--back home here with her family.
