SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Halloween is just a few weeks away, which means people are ready to get scared and spooked.

Friday night was opening night at the Savannah Moose Lodge's annual haunted forest. All proceeds go to benefit the Backus Chidlren's Hospital. Volunteers began working on the forest months ago, and they guarantee you will be frightened, for a good cause.

"We love doing this every year, and we love presenting that check to Backus Hospital, so we hope we get lots of people out here," said Duane Watts.

The haunted forest is at the Savannah Moose Lodge on Norwood Avenue in Sandfly. It runs the next three weekends, Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30pm until midnight. It is $7 for adults. Children under 12 are $5.

That's not the only event in town guaranteed to send a chill down your spine this Halloween season. For a complete list of events and shows for all the ghouls and goblins out there, check out the WTOC's 2009 Halloween events page.
