SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - No more furloughs! That's the message some Chatham County teachers are planning on making clear to the Board of Education.

Tuesday night, they met to set up a game plan. They're planning on marching around the Board of Education building Wednesday morning, and then attending the school board meeting later that afternoon. They say they're not protesting the current furloughs, but future ones.

"We believe they know there's going to be more furlough days, so they're sending out a memo telling people to watch their spending. What we're saying is, tell us so we know. People make plans for Christmas, they make plans to do things, we want to know if they have information, let us know," said Alfreda Goldwire, president of the Savannah Federation of Teachers.

Goldwire says she wants the public to understand that these furloughs do affect the students. They are planning to march around 9:00am Wednesday morning.
