SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - The men and women who defend people in court had a very special meet and greet Friday.

They are pulling into port at Old Fort Jackson.  Some of the candidates that are vying for South Carolina's top seat met for the South Carolina defense trial attorneys' annual meeting. Lt. Governor Andre Bauer, Dwight Drake, and Senator Vincent Sheheen, and Mullins McLeod soaked in the best of what Savannah has to offer.

"Savannah's a beautiful place to be. We love to get all of our South Carolina attorneys together at a venue that we can all enjoy and stay on property," said Catherine Templeton.

The oyster roast was a chance for fellowship among the law makers. Saturday the real fun begins with a panel discussion with the governor canidadates discussing a number of South Carolina related issues.
